Titans Coach Saleh Defends Jordan Elliott Over Gun Incident

Tennessee Titans coach Robert Saleh recently stood by Jordan Elliott after the defensive lineman was involved in a gun-related incident. Saleh described the event as a ‘call for help’ rather than a criminal act. He highlighted Elliott’s personal character, emphasizing his belief that the incident was an error in judgment under distress.

The incident occurred last week when Elliott, after an altercation with teammate JC Latham at practice, attempted to retrieve a gun from his car in the team’s parking lot. Although the gun never left the parking lot and the situation was defused by Titans defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers, the team released Elliott following the incident. The NFL is currently reviewing this matter.

Saleh has expressed his willingness to vouch for Elliott’s character to other NFL teams, suggesting that the lineman would be a valuable asset for any team aiming for a playoff run. He noted that Elliott has never committed a crime before this incident, describing him as a dedicated father and husband who is well-liked within the team.
